We need to travel from Seattle to Mumbai, either on the Atlantic route via any european connection or the Pacific route via Korea or Singapore. I know korean air has that option. Any other airlines. I do prefer the atlantic route more.

Lufthansa airlines as well as Austrian offer this.. Austrian you would have to fly from Seattle to John F Kennedy in NYC first with one of their partners. Then also connect in Vienna. Lufthansa can offer you a directly flight Seattle-Frankfurt-Mumbai. The animal would have to fit within their specific crate requirements (see www.lufthansa.com). You would also have to ensure you have all proper documents to travel through Germany as well as for entry into India(contact local consulate). There are also fees for this. Depending on the size of the dog, and the space they have left on board(they only allow so many per cabin), you would be good to go! Lufthansa also doesn't have any black out dates, as their cargo holds are climate and pressure controlled for this reason. You would be able to attach a food dish to the animals crate for the journey, as well as a water bottle so that it doesn't spill on them. They need to have an absorbent lining in the crate, and if they are in the cabin they need to stay in the crate at all times.. Also, if you transfer in Frankfurt, and your connection is over 6 hours (I believe 6, double check with the airlines or Frankfurt airport) then there is a dog walking area. You can contact Lufthansa customer service for all of the information and requirements, these are just generally guidelines that most airlines follow.

We need to give our 3 year old son's puppy up for adoption?

Not only is the dog costing me a ton of money a day because of the constant destruction, I'm starting a new job in NYC soon, which means that the dog will be in the crate for 12 hours a day which is not fair. How do I explain to my 3 year old that his puppy will be leaving?
Answer
1. Tell him that the puppy's mommy has been crying all day and wants her child back.
2. Get a family (not your son's ) pet when you hit NYC. A small aquarium, maybe?
