Thank you for all your answers to my question the first time around. Let me explain. This dog is spoiled and full of love. I work from home and most all the places I go he goes with, he is virtually NEVER alone, so showing him attention is not the problem he has it 24/7, matter fact he's sitting right her in my lap at this very moment. He's not under fed by any means. I believe he's more on the jealous side as we have not only one Cavalier but TWO. His begging I'm certain stems from he "might miss out on something that the other dog is going to get and he will not." Whenever we're eating he's right at my feet. Whenever I'm cooking he's right at my feet. If I walk toward the kitchen he RUNS to beat me there and has been agressive occasionally towards the other do when treats (for good deeds or reasons) are handed out. We do NOT reward the begging by any means. So what would be your suggestions now for "jealousy" I would think it would be better defined as.

Answer
You need to take back who's in charge in your household, because right now it's the dog. Do you have a dog crate? If so, offensive behavior should result in being placed in the crate. If not, put a leash on the animal and tie it to a heavy piece of furniture. Then walk out of the room for 5 minutes and ignore any noise that the dog makes. Come back, and release with no praise. It's like a time out for a child. Begging is a natural habit for pets, the best way I have found to correct the problem is to a) ignore the begging pet completely, b) push the dog away and tell him in a firm voice "no begging". you will have to do this repeatedly until they understand what you're saying. When you eat, put both dogs in another room and make sure that they stay there not matter what noise they start to make, ignore them. When you're done with your meal, again, release with no praise. You're simply trying to teach them how to behave.

You must remember, they're pets, not children, so treat them accordingly and stop spoiling them so much. I love my dogs too, but I make sure they understand who's the boss in the house. You need to do the same thing. Good luck.

How to make my room feel like?

Captain Ca

an apartment? I am a sophomore in college and I still have to live at home. I would like to make my fairly small room feel somewhat adult and like I have my own space. The furniture I have is a futon bed, a toybox, nightstand, dresser, bookshelf, fish tank, and large dog crate. Everything must stay. Any tips.
If I could afford an apartment I would, don't be a smart ass, it doesn't make you sound cool.

Answer
If you can afford it go out and buy a few new pieces of furniture. You can even look at thrift shops for vintage looking items for less. If not try making over the furniture you have now. Maybe paint them?
Change the color of your room, you would be suprised at how big of a difference can come from painting your walls a different color. I even like wallpaper. Demask wallpaper is very vintage inspired and it is also very glamorous and sophisticated. Buy new linens and drapery. Changing up your bedspread from a hot pink teen bedding to a floral pattern or silk comforter can really make a room have a more grown up feeling. Try getting some frames and put pictures of you and family and friends. Try to coordinate frames. Putting up a mirror, an elegant lamp, a nice rug, artwork can really change up a space. Go for either dark romantic jewel tones or light pastels. Over all just make your room feel like you.
