best dog kennel crate image
Sharoon
My first inclination was to housetrain him the same way I would a puppy. That is, keep him in a crate unless supervised and take him outside on a regular schedule. However, this dog was kept as a stud dog for a puppy mill and had to soil his own kennel/crate. Therefore, keeping him restricted in a crate or small room does no good - he goes in there!

If you have the option of having a dog door, you can put a pen (or his crate) just inside the door so he only has access to that and the yard. Once you teach him to use the door, he'll probably choose to go to the bathroom outside instead of in the crate. You can then increase the amount of space you give him in the house as he learns to use the dog door consistently to take himself outside.
If you can't do a doggie door, you may still be able to teach him not to soil his kennel so you can do crate training. There's an article about teaching dogs not to have accidents in their crates here: http://www.thehousebreakingbible.com/training/crate-accidents.htm
He should still be able to learn to be housebroken, it might just take a little longer since he hasn't been trained yet at 2 yrs old.
Good luck with him.

I have a 3 month old kitten, and a plummer is coming over monday to fix a leak in the bathroom big job. Since i work i can't be home while they do the job. Im thinking of just buying a cat kennel crate/condo to put him in. My son thinks i can use his big dog kennel cage. What do you think/
Answer
He should be fine. My aunt puts her cat in a crate when she travels. Just as long as he is confy.
