there like on the side of the house and there out side dogs

Answer
Is your pet neutered. It may be trying to get out to find a mate. You can buy a kennel at Lowe's or Home Depot for a reasonable amount or a large crate at Pet Co or Petsmart. If your pet is ramming the fence to get out you may have an issue even after you get your fence fixed unless you get your dog fixed.

Portable dog kennel a good idea?

Mrs. N

I found a 7x10ft portable dog kennel (chain link) on Craigslist for $100 I am thinking about getting, a 7x12ft at Lowes is $219. I am mainly needing it to let my dogs outside in while I am at work sometimes so they are not cooped up in a crate. Would that be ideal for an APBT and Pug mutt or is there cheaper products out there that I can get to do myself that would make more space for roughly the same price? or does anyone have any ideas that they use for their dog's fencing?

Answer
Portable dog kennels work GREAT! My hubby made ours, but he welds so it was cheaper. You need to know that they WILL get out if they are diggers, so you will need to put a bottom on it. A roll of chicken wire or something works great if you stake it to the ground about an inch or so past the edges of the kennel. Depending on the weather you may want to put a tarp or some other form of cover over part of the kennel, for shade etc.

Dog HELP!!?

Just me

I have a dog I got from a rescue back in November, the last couple of months she has been jumping my 6 ft high wood fence and getting out. I dont know what to do to make her stop doing this. I am terrified she is going to get hurt or killed as I live pretty close to a major road. Is there anything I can do except give her away??

Answer
HI
Take her in the house and crate her, I had this problem get a dog kennel from Lowes the 12 by 12 and put a roof on it and pen her when you can't watch her She will get hit another suggestion is to have her in the house but chain her to go potty but don't leave her on the chain they make dogs like that even worse.

Dog has personal space problem?

Jennn B

I got this little dog when I was working at Lowe's. She was found in the parking lot with a collar and leash running around. I tried to find the owner for several weeks but now she is mine. Anyway, she is very sweet but she always gets right in everyone's face and even while sleeping she wants to be by my head. When I pet another one of my other animals, or call them by name, she pushes them out of the way and wont let them have any attention. Even though she is pushy with them she is over submissive with people. She is afraid of strangers and if I say anything in a stern voice she immediately rolls on her back and looks terrified. She is a smart dog but I cannot figure out how to break these habits. Any advice?

Answer
If she's getting in your face, get a crate and crate train her so she Can't. Sounds like my cat, oh how I wish I could crate train him. Haha Or just get her a bed and place her there and work on the Stay or "Go lay down" command. My dog knows what go lay down means because I'll point at his various designated "bed areas" he has throughout the house so he will go to them and be out of the way and stay there if needed. She's just really attached to you and she needs to learn some independence.

She should be given a firm NO and an order to sit/stay when she is being pushy. You pet your other dogs and you only pet her if she completed the stay until you were done. Do not give her attention if she demands it, it is on Your terms.

Where is the best site to get a dog run?

I need to get one on a website. I hv a golden retriever he won't b in it all the time just a couple hours tops when we go somewhere. So a good size but nt too big

Answer
Sometimes you can find a used on on craigslist.org that is not expensive. Home Depot & Lowes carries them too. He might be better off indoors in a large crate or gated off in one room though, if you're not going to be home.

My mom takes her dogs out in her car is extremely filthy with dirt marks and smells like wet dog. The mats are stained dark brown. I have a steam vac and it might not cut it, or might take forever. Also she spilled ice cream on the trunk mat. I need a good list of products to clean the vinyl, leather, fabric mats, windows, headlights, taillights, tires, rims, hand vacuum or whatever to make the car really clean. Thanks.

Answer
Those SUV's can get dirty I recommend spending the money for professional detailing in instances of gross interior neglect. Then go to pet smart and get canine crates or wire cages that fit the rear of the Lexus so people will want to ride in the seats again. Lexol makes saddle soap leather cleaners and conditioners Self Spray car wash soap and rinse all the floor mats shampoo with the steam cleaner the floors polish and wax the exterior and shine up the windows put new wiper blades in at this time. leave the under hood to some mechanic. Armor-all the tires and vinyl around the seat backs and door panels but just wash the dash and towel dry. Shine on dash reflects in the glass. Get one of those cans of car fresnener at Lowe's on the ends of the front isles by scent labs "aroma pots" lasts up to sixty days Jasmine, Mango Tangerine all good on top of dog smell.

I can't catch my dog when he escapes can anyone help me with tips?

Susan D

My dog is 9 months old and if he is able to get out he runs into the street. I am afraid he will get out and get hurt. He almost got hit by a car and i realized this is a serious problem. Can anyone give me tips on how to train him not to run away?

Answer
You might want to get a dog run. They are bigger than a crate and provide safety when your not around. They cannot jump out of them if you get one with a top. Work with him everyday to establish boundaries. He clearly does not know where he is supposed to be. You as the OWNER need to show and work on this. Very soon may I add. Is he digging to get out? How is he getting out of your yard? Fix that problem. If he is diggin you can use Cayenne pepper to stop the digging. Start by filling in any holes with dirt and sprinkle the Cayenne pepper on the places he likes to dig. This may help! It helped me with my 3 month old puppy. She always wanted into my neighbors yard. She no longer digs there or any where else I put the pepper! Good luck and I hope you can fix this before your precious dog gets hurt! Check out Lowe's or Home Depot they have dog runs already in packages!
