How long will my dogs kennel cough last?

My dog just got diagnosed with Kennel Cough. He just started on antibiotics and just wanted to know when this poor guy will stop the horrible sound. Sorry I feel bad for the poor guy.
Well.. He is 1.5yrs old.. He does have his bordettella shot, so chill, he got an off strain according to the vet.
Yeah my dog got it from Doggie Daycare..

Unfortunately, kennel cough can last initially from 10-20 days and can rebreak when the dog is put into a stressful situation which puts stress on the dog's immune system.

So hopefully, the antibiotics work and you keep your dog happy so the kennel cough doesn't come back.

I am afraid my dog might have kennel cough. He is coughing and wheezing a lot. Then again, he also does this when allergies are bad. I am going to take him to the vet next week, but is there anything I can do to treat his cough at home?

Baby cough syrup, humidifier, and ensure that your pup is continuing to drink water.

Ideally it will simply be the viral form of the disease and will clear up on it's own. However, it may turn to a more complicated disease depending on your dog's immune system, which is why the vet is important when you get around to it.
