i have two dogs and my boyfriend that im trying to move from delaware to california we have a small room of stuff ( clothes shoes and various other little things) we are trying to find the cheapest way possible to get all our stuff here help please asap

First option, advertise for a man and a truck to do the job. Petrol, accommodation plus x amount of dollars for doing the job.
. Faint chance a guy wouldn't mind a trip to Cali and back....but it isn't the cheapest option though it could be a fun drive.
Also advertise for space in someone else's haul....wanted, share of truck space for a move to Cali,

Second option is to buy or hire packing crates from a courier firm or get some very large strong cardboard boxes from retailers in town. Back of the shops have cages for boxes. Mostly the boxes are flattened. Get some strong packing tape to fix them up.
Pack the stuff and send it by courier to Cali...takes 3-5 days sometimes more cuz it normally goes from one courier to another connecting one etc till a local one in your chosen region of Cali gets it and delivers to your new home or you can pick it all up from their depot.
Couriers are a network. all working together though most are independant companies.
Some, like DHL are world-wide. First truck I saw when I stepped out of the airport in Santiago Chile was a DHL truck.
In Johannesburg South Africa there was a line of them right outside the airport.
You can send pets as well. Pet boxes and cages are available from the couriers. Turn up with all the relevant documentation for the pet, say by bye for a couple of days, (Hankies-R-Us do wholesale quantities) and then you just have yourselves to move which you can do by hitching or by bus or train or maybe find a budget price flight...keep checking the airlines.
Find couriers from the phone book or newspaper ads or a local internet search. There is competition for business so prices are reasonable.
They will shift small packages or enough stuff to fill a mansion.
